Ride bikes on the boardwalk.

Try to get out as early as possible because it gets crowded and ends at 11am each morning. You can find rental locations every few streets.

Take a trip to Assateague Island.

Only about 15 minutes away, Assateague is an untouched shoreline great for a get away from the hussle and bussle of Ocean City. You’ll love seeing the wild horses roaming the island.

Visit the fishing docks in West Ocean City.

Great place to take a stroll and take in the sights, and the fishing boats are a fun to see. If you go mid afternoon you should see some coming in with their catch. Which leads us to our next activity…

Go deep sea fishing.

Ocean City is the White Marlin capital of the world for a reason. The offshore fishing is world class but keep in mind the price tag is quite steep.

Take a Surf Lesson.

Most of the local shops offer lessons. Only problem is the waves are hit or miss in OC so make sure you keep an eye on the weather.

Go Stand Up Paddle-boarding.

A fun, relaxing, and challenging activity that gets you on the water, stand up paddle-boarding has become a very popular activity.

Frontier Town Water Park.

Awesome waterpark for the smaller kids. Great wild west atmosphere and if you stay into the evening there’s a cowboy and indians show.

And don't forget the obvious

Visit Trimpers Rides or Jolly Roger, go jet-skiing or parasailing, play mini-golf, and of course spend most of your time relaxing at the beach!!

Great places to eat and drink!

Below are a few of our favorite places to eat and drink around town broken into a few categories:

Breakfast

Anthony’s on 17th St and Coastal Highway. Kind of a hole in the wall but amazing breakfast sandwiches. Try the ham, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel.

Satellite Coffee Shop on 24th street, just off the boards. Popular place with a good breakfast. Try the SOS or the Banana Split french toast.

Fractured Prune on Somerset and the boards, or Coastal Hwy on 28th or 80th St. Amazing local donut shop that is a must! Try the OC sand.

Lunch/Casual Dinner

Anthony’s on 33rd and Coastal Highway. More of a beer store with a deli in the back but some of the best Italian subs around. Try the Flagship sub all the way.

Fat Daddy’s on Talbot and Baltimore or Coastal and 82nd. Local place with great hot subs and basically anything fried. Try the chicken cheese steak.

Miones in the White Marlin Mall, just across the Rt. 50 bridge on the right. Great NY pizza place. Try the pasta pizza.

Quickies on Baltimore at Talbot. Another pizza place with a bunch of other options. Huge slices at good prices. Try the BBQ chicken pizza.

Thrashers on the boards. You’ve got to try their Fries!

Dinner

The Reel Inn, 14th St bayside in Harbour Island community. Tucked away in the Harbour Island community this is a locals spot that is more or less hidden from the normal tourists. It is right on the water and has a great laid back atmosphere. Good food with reasonable prices and no tourists make this our favorite place in OC. Try the fish tacos.

Mickey Finns, just across Rt. 50 bridge on the left in the Ocean City Fishing Center. Not a cheap place but great seafood and nice atmosphere. They also usually have live music at their outdoor bar during happy hour.

Sunset Grill, also across the Rt 50 bridge, left at second light about a mile down. Very similar to Mickey Finns with great seafood and a cool atmosphere. Try the crab cake sandwich.

Harbourside, another place over the bridge just past Sunset Grill on the left. Much more relaxed place with better prices and home of the original Orange Crush. If you have only one drink in OC an Orange Crush from Harbourside is it!!

Fresco’s 82nd St on the bay. Fancy Italian place with a seafood flair, piano player many nights. Great food, try the eggplant rollatini.

Party Time

All day and all night- Secrets on 52nd St and Coastal Highway. Probably one of the best bars in the country. We recommend “De Pain in de Ass” frozen drink. And don’t miss The Jim Long Band starting at 5pm every day for a crazy time!

Happy Hour – M.R. Ducks, The Angler, & Marina Deck all located on Talbot St and the Bay. We recommend the beer and steamed shrimp special at Marina deck available at the bar only. And if you’re really feeling frisky you can try a “Chug a Duck” at M.R. Ducks.

Outdoor/Kid Friendly – Fish Tales 22nd and the bay or Lazy Lizard 1st and the bay. Both are very similar with a great beachy feel and a perfect place for the adults to have a cocktail with cool play area for the kids. Food isn’t so great but its a fun atmosphere and if you get to Fish Tales early you can watch the fishing boats come in.

Dance Party – Fagers Island 60th and the bay or Macky’s 54th and the bay. Both great places to have a good time with live bands or DJ’s and lots of dancing.
